Apatosaurus

Apatosaurus means "deceptive lizard"
Apatosaurus was 70 feet long and was 15 feet tall at the hips.
He weighed about 35 tons.
Apatosaurus was a huge 4-footed plant eater.
He mostly ate the leaves and needles from the tops of trees.
Apatosaurus had a small, low thick neck, and a relatively
short heavy body, heavy legs, and
a long whiplash tail.
Apatosaurus teeth were narrow and peg like,
and arranged like a comb along the jaws.
He did not chew his food, he just swallowed it
as quickly as it was plucked from a tree.
Apatosaurus lived in present day
Colorado, Oklahoma, Utah, and Wyoming.
He lived in the late Jurassic period.
