Spinosaurus

Spinosaurus means "thorn lizard"

Spinosaurus was 50 feet long.

He was 9 feet tall at the hips, with his sail 6 feet above that.

Spinosaurus weighed 4 tons.

He had a fin of skin up to 6 feet tall that ran down its back,

held up by blade-like spines jutting upward from its vertebrae.

Spinosaurus was a huge 2-legged predator.

He ate small dinosaurs and other smaller animals.

Spinosaurus had a crocodile-like lower jaw with many medium sized teeth.

His sail could have helped him regulate his temperature

making his blood cooler or warmer as needed.

Spinosaurus lived in present day

Egypt, Morocco, and Niger.

He lived during the mid/late Cretaceous.
