Styracosaurus
(sty-ra-SAU-rus)
Styracosaurus means "spiked lizard"
Styracosaurus was 18 feet long.
He was a heavily built 4-legged plant eater.
Styracosaurus ate tough plants and reeds that grew in the marches where he
lived.
Styracosaurus was a horned dinosaur with a short tail, massive head
deep parotlike beak, short bony neck frill,
and six long spikes jutting backwards and outwards
from around its frill.
Styracosaurus was related to Triceratops but was not
as large, and not as good a fighter.
Styracosaurus lived in the late Cretaceous in present day
Alberta, Canada and Montana, USA.
